Verse of the Day

John 16:23-24 (NLT)

23 At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. 24 You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.

We are in the book of John today, these verses simply are saying if we are in need of something ask and you will recieve. Sometimes it may not always be what we want the answer to be, and sometimes God will answer like we hope for it to be. We wonder if God hears and answers our prayers, He simply dose when we ask in Jesus name. He lets us know with either signs of yes or signs of no, but all in His timing. He dose give us what we need vs. what we want, because what we want isn't always really what we need.

  1. I'm glad God doesn't always give us what we ask for. I remember the movie "Bruce Almighty" that didn't go well. While that was funny, the reality is that we don't know what we need always and sometimes get sidetracked with wants of some good stuff. I'm so glad that God answers according to our NEEDs.
