Twas the Night Before Christmas-Remix

My brother and I thought it be funny to re-write a Christmas story poem. We sertainly had a good time!! lol

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the apartment

Not a creature was stirring, not even a dog

Some of the stockings were taped to the fake fireplace with care

in hopes they wouldn’t make a mess and spill everywhere.

The people were nestled all snug in their beds

while visions of Julian Smith Sang in their heads

and mamma in her PJ’s and I in my onsy

Had settled ourselves for a long winter chinook sleep

When out on the sidewalk there arose such a scrapping

I was startled  out of bed to see what was the matter

Away down the hall I flew like a flash

I tore open the door and threw out the trash

The light on the street on the new paved sidewalk

Gave some bright light on the street below

When, what to my surprised eyes should see

was Ron shoveling the snow, and rattling keys

When along came a noisy young boy, so tired and slow

I knew in a moment it must be Sir. Kyle

More rapid than ocean waves in his truck they came

And he whistled, and shouted and called them by name!

Now Dustin!, now Wyatt!, now, Brandan and Kody!

On, Julian!, on, Mac!, on, Tanner and Brady!

To the top of the balcony, and back to the parking lot

Now drive away!, drive away! drive away all!

As quickly as possible before the wild blizzard came

When they meet with an officer, on the side of the road

So down the streets and highway they safely drove

With a vehicle full of gas and Frosty too

And then, in the kitchen, I heard the fridge door

The spreading of butter and  laying of cheese

As Michael perked up his nose, and came around the corner

Out from the fridge was Kyle munching some ham.

He was dressed all in leather, from his head to his foot

And his clothes were all shiny and new as he stood

A bundle of tacos he had stuck in his pocket

As he went on his way, sitting on his rocket

Bella’s eyes how they twinkled! Her appetite how merry

Her paws were like soft as pillows, her nose like an olive

Her grin was as convincing like a beggar

And her teeth was as white as the sparkling snow

The pepsi Mike held tight in his hands

And the sandwich he made was delish!

He had a smile on his face as his meal filled his belly

As he ran down the stairs as if something was smelly!

He was almost to his room, when he forgot some pancakes upstairs

And I laughed when I saw him in a hurry

a clap of his hands, and leap of joy

Soon gave me to know he found the rest of his food

Mike spoke not a word and went back to his work,

And painted his cans, and gave them a smirk

And laying a finger aside on his chin

looking at his work and giving a grin

Kyle sprang to his truck, to his crew he gave a text

And away they all drove like a big T-Rex

But I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight

“Thanks for the food, and have a good night”
