Thanksgiving thoughts!

It's Thanksgiving weekend up here in Canada, For us Thanksgiving is in Oct. In the US it's in Nov. Thanksgiving comes once  year like most holiday seasons and occasions do, unless your hoping between countries then it maybe 2x a year for you! Here's some interesting things to take a look and read through at as your waiting for the feast!

Psalm 100

A psalm of thanksgiving.

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
    Worship the Lord with gladness.
    Come before him, singing with joy.
Acknowledge that the Lord is God!

    He made us, and we are his.[a]
    We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
    go into his courts with praise.
    Give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good.
    His unfailing love continues forever,
    and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

As we gather around the table to eat with family and friends or just family enjoying home cooked meals, laughing and sharing stories take some time and remember to thank God for the many blessing He's done for you, given you, even people He's put in your life! so often we thank Him for things often material things and forget He also places people in our lives to encourage and help us along the way. Life is short to just let people pass by and forget about. Always keep God number one, don't stray away and worship people and items of course, but you can appriciate what God gives you as long as you give the credit to God.

I am thankful that God gave me family, whomever I got left around as freinds, I'm thankful for all the youth that I come and came across, I'm thankful for shelter, for food on the table, for my dailey jobs, for God's creation, His grace and mercy He gives, and for what He called and calls me to do in life for Him even though theres challenges along the way.

There's so much more to be thankful for each day, but those are things that are dear and highlights of my life. Take some time out to be thankful and appriciate what God has given you! smiley
