TGofGL-Day 5 Love and Justice

Day 5 on Gift of God's Love, we are looking at love and justice working together. God is not only a God of love, but He is also a God of fair justice. Sometimes humans don't always make the best jugment on situations. Sometimes some call things wrong or persecute wrongly without knowing the facts properly. Sometimes humans can misuse power when they are in a position of being in charge.

I've been wrongly accused of some things in life because theres those people that maybe arn't listening properly, is only one sided, or plainley dosn't like me. Sometimes when people have that mentallity it can make a person judge people wrongly. God is a fair judge and of love and will punish those that are making bad judgement on his people that have done right. Yes if you have done something wrong then yes you do deserve some punishment properly like a parent diaplines thier child.

1 Thessalonians 1:7-10

And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven. He will come with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, bringing judgment on those who don’t know God and on those who refuse to obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with eternal destruction, forever separated from the Lord and from his glorious power. 10 When he comes on that day, he will receive glory from his holy people—praise from all who believe. And this includes you, for you believed what we told you about him.

Matthew 22:44

44 44 ‘The Lord said to my Lord,

Sit in the place of honor at my right hand

until I humble your enemies beneath your feet.’[g]

Love and Justice

The Cross demonstrates how God is a God of both love and justice. His love for us enabled the ultimate sacrifice of His Son, fulfilling that need for justice. For those who reject God’s gift of salvation, choosing their own definitions of love and justice, Christ’s return will mean only judgment and eternal damnation. On that glorious day, they will not rejoice, but will weep and tremble in fear.

The Bible warns us, “He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed” (2 Thessalonians 1:8-10).

We must always be on watch and prepare for that day. God wants us to treat each day as if it were the last before His return. He wants us to live knowing that at any moment, final judgment will come upon this world—not so that we would live in anxiety, but to be motivated to share the Gospel message with those who do not know Him.

What if Christ returned tomorrow? Would that change how you spend the rest of today? Would you continue to keep silent about His love and judgment, or would you boldly and lovingly share about His return?

Prayer: God, thank You for your love and justice demonstrated on the Cross. Help me not to keep silent. Help me to treat today as if it were You were to return tomorrow. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him” (Matthew 24:44)
