It is Jan. 1 2015! a new start on the New Year, some people make resolutions around this time and some don't. I gave up doing that long time ago. Ithink you can start a new thing anytime of the year, but I understand New Years is an easy starting point to remember. As each year comes along there's always someone saying some hype of the world ending or Jesus is coming like super quick. As Christians and just people in general we need to be careful and always check things out in the bible. Yes the world isn't getting that much better these days, yes He is coming again, that is true and yes we are to always be ready because we dont know the day or the hour. He will come like a thief in the night. That is quoted through out the bible. God's timing is different from our timing. As the New Year takes place, new things come, old things go, becareful what you hear and see. If you are worried what your future holds maybe it's a time you need to come to God to work in your life, to accept Him if you havn't already.
Take a monent today to think and ponder on these verse's as they sounded fitting for today's verse.
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wastland.
Isaiah 43:19-NLT
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 5:17-NIV
Great reminders for sure! I also don't do New Years Resolutions as I believe that if you want to make changes in your life – do them whenever. Start today.
Same with trusting God and His return! Always be ready! Always! I doesn't matter what signs there are – people have often predicted His 2nd coming and have been wrong. I try and live prepared – everyday – for anything that God sends my way – including His return.
Thanks for the blog, for your posts, for your verses of encouragement and for all you do!
